I have been going to the otf jersey city location, since it started 4 years back. It has been an amazing journey with them. They have incredible coaches and staff. It is a crowded location but the coaches always make time to correct your form and encourage you! They have helped me tremendously in my fitness journey and I am so grateful I am a part of this community.
I came in last week for a visit and ask questions about the membership. The front desk staff were very rude and the girl kept pushing about buying a watch to monitor my workouts that costs over $120 which can be monitored from my Apple smart watch. It looks like they are being trained to steal money from clients I didn’t get a good vibe. I am not signing up with them I’ll go else where. Beware of this location.
Worst OTF I’ve had to frequent by a long shot and I’ve gone to studios all over the country. Management is looking to steal all they can from you. Staff is rude and not accommodating. PTs couldn’t even be bothered to pretend like they care or are inappropriately flirtatious with guests. Facilities and bathrooms are constantly dirty. Equipment is old and falling apart and often out of service. Ended up biting the bullet and paying extra to use the Manhattan ones and definitely worth the extra $120.
I hated the gym as I found the weight section overwhelming and the cardio boring. OT has changed my mind set! I now look forward to going, even if some days I still have to push myself I feel so glad I made the effort. It’s fast pace but you can still work to your own goals. I run some days and power walk others. The heart monitor is worth getting as it keeps you on track and helps you see your progress. I am 100% glad I joined! I go at least 4 times a week, in a normal gym I was lucky if I went 4 times a month! It also helps having all different instructors with their different styles as it makes feel varied. Highly recommend OT ! It’s like having a personal PT but in a fun class!
Great orange theory studio in Jersey City. Convenient location close to the light rail and on Washington Street. Classes are pretty full so I would book early.
Orangetheory is a fun and energetic 1 hour full body class - It really feels like the one stop shop of workouts and the coaches at atmosphere make it really enjoyable! I love the community, events and challenges that keep me coming back!
I have been a member at Orangetheory since 2018, and while I have attended classes at many different locations I have to say that the Jersey City studio is definitely my favorite. The coaches are enthusiastic and knowledgeable, they push you to challenge yourself in a way that doesn’t feel intimidating. The front desk staff are friendly and accommodating, and the music is always great at this location. One of the things I love the most about Orangetheory is the ever-changing workout structure, it never gets boring! If you are thinking about joining, definitely give it a chance! They are always running great promotions for new members.
Happy new member! The classes are hard but customizable to wherever you’re at, and the instructors always ask about personal limitations. Everyone I meet at the studio is really kind and helpful. I struggle to keep active and I’m really grateful that otf jc is working for me.
The program and class design is really cool, the tracker helps me understand how hard I’m pushing myself, and I’m excited to keep it truckin.
